First, I have to thanks Canadian Hiking Photography for posting his shots, or I probably would have never had the opportunity to do this!! (Amazing pics in the snow btw!!) The idea came from Photo Extremist.
Of course, I had to try for myself. Now that I know how easy it is, I will get more creative in the future with it. Oh and btw, its a lot of fun. I mean really what guy doesn’t like to burn stuff up.
*Safety Disclaimer – Safety is critical….Photo Extremist does a great job describing the necessary safety for this activity……use common sense.
When I think of the word “Blue”, what comes to mind the most is the Alaskan skyline, waters and glaciers. Absolutely Beautiful!!

Love can mean so many different things, but for me there is nothing better than good ole fashion “brotherly love”.
My favorite “mother” pictures in context of animals was the experience of seeing humpback whales in Alaska. This excursion was special. The first picture was of the young calf breaching the water. She did so several time and I was very lucky to capture it with the point and shoot camera I had. The second was of the calf’s mother approaching the boat we were on. The third was of the two of them together. The whale closed to the boat in the third picture is the mother, and the furthest away was the calf. They were definitely putting on a show, and it was truly special to see and experience.
I love these pictures. As with most puppies, it doesn’t take long to wear out from playing, and Winston was no exception. He claimed my son’s “Elmo” chair as his own very early on. The first picture was him settled in getting ready to nod off, by the time you get to the third picture, you can see he was well on his way to dreamland! These photos make me laugh every time I see them 🙂
